What's New in Replicator Version 1.22
──> Extended 25, 28, 43, or 50 line text modes!
Replicator Version 1.22 contains the ability to use extended text
modes on VGA monitors. This allows users to view more of the file
list window without needing to scroll it. The file REPLICAT.REV
offers a complete list of revisions / changes.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.21
──> Enhanced OS/2 Support.
Replicator Version 1.21 has added enhanced OS/2 support. Users can
now select Interrupt 25/26 reading and writing routines under OS/2
to eliminate intermittent error messages such as, "DMA Crossed 64K
Boundary". Also an "OS/2 Verify Delay" has been added to allow the
disk drive to "settle down" after creating a disk (but before the
verify process begins). Because of how OS/2 handles floppy drives,
one user reported a time-out error in this area. The verify delay
will only occur under OS/2 when the OS/2 Verify Delay is set to more
than 0 seconds.
──> Other Costmetic Changes.
Users should also notice that the "Copy File To Disk" screen now
contains a scrollable file list window. When a file is selected
from the browser, Replicator will display the list of files
contained on the associated diskette.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.20
──> Major Enhancements!
Replicator Version 1.20 has added many new features, such as:
1. An expanded database that includes the date the database image
was created, information about the original disk (total files,
bytes consumed, bytes free, and volume label), and a complete
listing of all files on the disk (including filename, size, date,
time, and relative sub-directory).
2. Automatic detection of floppy disk sizes when creating an image
file from a diskette. (Manual override is still available. If
the type you specify does not match the type in the drive,
Replicator issues a warning message with the option to continue.)
3. Printing support has been added! Print the current record or all
records in the database to LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, or a file on disk.
4. Searching support has been enhanced substantially! Search for a
keyword or phrase in any field of the database, with optional
case sensitivity.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.14
──> Major Problem Fix and Enhancements.
A major problem has been fixed in Replicator. The default network
type was set to "NOVELL" instead of "NONET" in the REPLICAT.INI
file. This would cause an error #8100 on single-user systems when
first executing Replicator, and further problems would ensue.
Network support has been enhanced. The database libraries have been
updated to a newer version. For a complete list of revisions,

please read the file REPLICAT.REV.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.13
──> Maintenance Update!
A few minor enhancements have been added to Replicator version 1.13.
For a complete list of revisions, please read the file REPLICAT.REV.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.12
──> Maintenance Update!
A couple of minor problems have been fixed in Replicator version
1.12. A problem with the formatting routine has been fixed where an
error message would pop up after a format process was complete. A
25-record database limit has been imposed to enourage non-registered
users to register. A couple of error trapping issues have been
cleaned up when the compression or decompression processes have been
cancelled by the user. For a complete list of revisions, please
read the file REPLICAT.REV.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.11
──> Maintenance Update!
A couple of minor problems have been fixed in Replicator version
1.11. Now, if a disk image creation process fails, the corrupt
image file is deleted from the hard drive. For a complete list of
revisions, please read the file REPLICAT.REV.
What's New in Replicator Version 1.10
──> Maintenance Update!
Several problems have been fixed and a few enhancements have been
added to Replicator since version 1.02. A problem with Replicator
reading an incorrect disk drive have been fixed (most noticeable
when attempting to use the B: drive on a system). Replicator has
been moved to a protected mode application, which means that it can
only be used on computer systems with 80286 or higher processors.
This should eliminate some memory-related problems. Also,
Replicator now prompts users to format an unformatted diskette
before it writes any data. For a complete list of revisions, please
read the file REPLICAT.REV.
──> Name Change!
Replica's name has been changed to Replicator. This is due to a
naming conflict with another product. We apologize for any
inconvenience to our users.
What's New in Replica Version 1.02
──> Enhancement Update!
Tons of new features have been added to Replica version 1.02! A new
Page 2
database management screen has been added to allow easier editing
and viewing of database records. This version of Replica does not
require as much memory as version 1.00, since the compression
routines have been moved to an external program. Many "finishing
touches" have been added, such as Replica's ability to remember the
last set of data (filename & descriptions) that was entered for a
disk image. This is useful when creating a set of disk images that
belong to the same program. A few problems have been fixed, as
well. For a complete list of revisions, see the file REPLICA.REV.
What's New in Replica Version 1.00
──> Initial Release of Replica!
STSI proudly announces the release of Replica into the shareware
market! Replica is a disk image utility designed to create images
of diskettes and catalog them in a database. Use optional
compression routines to reduce the image size. Store up to 10
lines of descriptive text for each disk image in the database.
Database entries can be modified at any time. Easy push button
interface!
